“We Serve” - Come Join Us in Meeting Your Community.
Part of service to the community involves the pooling of resources. The Waverly Lions Club engages in several major projects that generate the financial resources needed to achieve its goals while giving club members a chance to interact with the Waverly community. Your local Lions Club has established itself as a particularly accomplished producer of quality meals in its Pancake Breakfasts that occur in the Spring, Summer, and Fall. Another well-received fund raising activity is the Lions Annual Pie and Soup Sale.

“We Serve” - Come Be a Part of Life Greater Than Yourself.
Your local Lions Club is associated with Lions Clubs at the state, national and international levels. We are part of 44 Lions Clubs in the northeast portion of the state (District 9X3). Affiliation with Lions Clubs International opens up a myriad of resources and services focused on sight and hearing conservation. The charitable arm of the Lions - Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF) - last year disbursed grants in excess of $200 million to districts around the world for humanitarian aid as well as building and equipping workshops, training facilities, clinics, hospitals, and libraries. Lions International has close to 1.5 million members in over 180 countries. This year, the Decorah Lions received a grant for just over $35,000 to fund a Habitat for Humanity project. The Iowa Lions received a grant for $75,000 for the Coming to Your Senses project. This project supplies training and equipment to enable local Lions Clubs to provide vision and hearing screenings directed at the local community. The major projects of the Lions Clubs do encompass the local, state, national, and international levels.
